What exactly is CR?? It’s our freshly baked online community offering resources for all things related to being a Canadian 🇨🇦 creative entrepreneur.
Creative Roots was founded by Kelly @frontporchstudioca and Marlo @m81creative. We are two Creative Directors, entrepreneurs, runners, and both moms of little organizing-humans with so many shared passions.
Together we have a combined 15+ years of successfully running our own design studios and 25+ years in the design industry. Fun fact, we actually met on Instagram as common Canadian creative studio & business owners, and have become fast friends. It’s been so amazing to build this relationship all through the magic of social media.
Our goal for CR is to curate a robust online resource for creative entrepreneurs that has a special focus on Canadian-specific 🇨🇦 business needs. Be sure to sign-up on for early registration and access.
So, why did we start Creative Roots?
When we both started our creative businesses, it was exciting and empowering… and a little bit scary.

Being an entrepreneur can feel lonely, but who has the time for all the meetups to feel connected. Plus we are creatives after all and these can be... awkward let's be honest 😳 😂
