Quick Tactics for Pricing Strategies
We’re coming at you today with some quick pricing strategies in celebration of our next LIVE Creative Conversation. Pricing creativity can be such a hot topic that we all go back and forth on which way works best.
Do you show your prices on your website?
Should I use an hourly rate? or set rate packages?
Do you know about value-based pricing?
These are all the things we will discuss in our upcoming Creative Conversations . In the mean time, here are a few tactics that will help you price your creative services no matter what your approach.
~
tactic 1: reduce the left digit by one
Old Price: $2,000
New Price: $1,999.99
Bonus Tip: Emphasize the new base digit by visually minimizing the digits after the decimal.
~
tactic 2: choose prices with fewer syllables
Old Price: $27.82
New Price: $28.16
The old price has 7 syllables where the new price has 5, this makes the number sound shorter and therefore smaller.
~
tactic 3: remove the comma
Old Price: $1,999
New Price: $1999
The old price has 11 syllables where the new price has 5, this makes the number sound shorter and therefore smaller.
~
tactic 4: mention the daily equivalence
Old Price: $24.99/month
New Price: $0.80/day
